Description:
According to the CP Dispatch, there was a short time ethanol train that was coming off the Chicago Side that would be heading north on the Marquette Side soon, but we had run out of time to wait on anything. So, from Savanna it was straight into Dubuque. After we got the rental car, we checked into the hotel, then decided to go eat supper at Applebees down the road. After supper, we still had a little more daylight to kill. Shockingly enough, the ethanol train had still not yet gone through, but it was nearing town, so we went into downtown to grab it. Sure enough, CP 547 was lined north across the CN diamond and rolled through town with a classic CPKC duo.
