NS 3605
Title:  NS 3605
Description:  I had intended to shoot the DN11 coming back with the 189 setoff, but at the same time, NS 259 was coming in off the Fostoria District side, and I opted to shoot that coming by the depot instead.

NS 5231

NS 5327
Title:  NS 5327
Description:  NS L90 blasts off back west toward Roanoke on the Snake Track now with an ex-Conrail GP38-2 on the front, still equipped with its RS3L. The other SD60E was due for its 90 day apparently and this was all that was left to lead the train back. Ill take it!

CFE 7865
Title:  CFE 7865
Description:  The goal was to chase L90 to HUGO where I could get it at speed. Unfortunately, even though I was ahead of it almost the entire way there, it still managed to beat me. At the same time, CFE LIFW was yarding on the other side of town with the newly painted Veterans Unit 2nd out. Hoping to grab it leading going back east, I decided to work my way to the other side of town again. I found the train crossing Meyer Road right when I got there.

CFE 4036
Title:  CFE 4036
Description:  Unfortunately. the Veterans Unit would not be leading the FWLI back to Lima, rather the crew would be picking up a pair of geeps for the return trip back. The crew was instructed to put the inbound power by the sand pit, which at least gave me an opportunity to shoot it by the hump tower. I guess you could say I "sorta" got it leading.

CFE 3023
Title:  CFE 3023
Description:  To my delight, the crew picked the pair of former GTW GP40-2s to take back to Lima with them. I decided to head further east to try to find a place where there was plenty of ice still sticking to the trees. There wasnt much, but I did find one spot that was workable at Geradot Road east of Maples. About a 15 or so minute wait went by in the crazy cold wind, and the train came blowing by doing every little bit of 40 MPH track speed.

CFE 2132
Title:  CFE 2132
Description:  Heading back into town I could hear the Decatur Local putting the last few touches on their train before departing south. However, they had to wait on the yard job to finish working the GM transload. Over an hour later, and even the crew toning up the yard job telling them "wed like to depart soon", the train was given the go-ahead out of the yard just after sunset. I actually had given up on them, but I heard them get their permission from the yard job to come on down right as I was approaching the Marion Center Road exit on I469, so it was an easy trot back to the Adams Center Road crossing to grab one shot of it passing the last few standing codeline polls.

CFE 2132
Title:  CFE 2132
Description:  I decided to grab one more shot of them at Hessen Cassel Road on the Decatur Branch ducking underneath I469 before heading back toward home. The rail replacement project has been completed, and I was curious to see if track speed had been increased. They were maybe going about 15 at this spot. Hopefully Ill be able to see them in daylight sometime soon a bit further south to see if that 25 MPH track speed ever came to fruition!
