The rain started to cut loose as we moved into Streator. NS 31K was there with a fresh BNSF crew waiting for permission to continue west on the Transcon. Dispatch told them they had to wait on the intermodel that we caught at Kernan. By the time we got into Streator though they were already starting to curve off, and it had a H1 leader! The same power we saw sitting back in the NS yard at Kankakee! Well we definitely werent going to let that go that easily and we were just able to get out ahead of it enough outisde of Reading, IL. Despite it being a crappy photo, chances are we wont see another H1 leading a train, so this is quite a catch! |
