At about the same time, CN R960, the Kankakee Local, was ready to head south back to the stub track in downtown to tie down for the day. We raced over there, but unfortunately we were not quick enough to get shots of them coming by the station. The blue GT wouldve been a nice addition to the already very good day, but you dont win them all. At least we did see the engines moving. |

Once we got back into Illinois we noticed that the CN had something lined through Rockford. Being the time it was we assumed it was the local. We found a nice spot in downtown on Main Street and grabbed the sole IC unit on CN L561 dragging cars to the other side of town. |

We decided to move south to the water tower crossing. CN once again made pretty quick work down by Bishop and were ready to head back north. IC 9622 was dropped off by M338 yesterday so it was nice to get a different unit up front on the local. Especially one that was short hood forward. |
