CSX 564 backs CSX Q327 into the Blue Island Yard. This would serve as the final train in daylight. The last train we saw for the day was NS 216 on the CFE in Warsaw. Definitely was a fun trip! Only 11 trains compared to the 43 that we saw the day before. A trip total of 54 trains all together. Blue Island was very quiet today compared to what it usually is. It was my first visit to the bottleneck and it didnt impress me at all. My dad was fased in why it wasnt as busy as it usually is. Slow days happen I guess. Anyways, we really enjoyed this trip! Next year we will do it in October again though so it will only be a one day outing as usual. Really enjoyed it and had a fun time! |
