BNSF 5692
Title:  BNSF 5692
Description:  I had some inbound coal traffic coming as well from the west, and with a definite crew swap in Creston and seeing coal trains that I had seen parked here last night, I knew I probably should stick close to Creston if I wanted to see them moving. Now, pretty much everything had gone perfectly with this trip up to this point. A trip this perfect couldnt have any major flaws in it, could it? Well, unfortunately, that was not the case. As my first westbound, C-NAMCEB0-69, started to get close, I stepped outside and headed over to the other side of the street to stake my spot out for a shot coming by the grain elevator. Then, disaster struck. My camera strap came undone and the D610 fell right onto the concrete parking lot of the station, lens first. Thankfully, the body was fine. The lens, not so much. It had shattered completely on the inside. I was pretty bummed, but thankfully, not all hope was lost for the remainder of this trip. The D3500 serves as a great "backup" so to speak, and now the backup was going to be put in full time for the remainder of the trip. And it proved to serve me well. After some choice words and maybe a little bit of kicking (hey I had to get my frustration out somehow), I grabbed the D3500 and staked my spot. The C-NAMCEB0-69 soon rounded the bend with a H2 AC4400CW on the point.
