Out of the four westbounds, the third was definitely the most interesting. Due to crew availability, CSX B223 was routed the long way via Deshler and Ridgeway instead of going down the Monon which is the route this train usually runs. This is an empty nitrogen train that comes off the BNSF at Cicero. While it isnt very uncommon, getting foreign power on the Indy Line that isnt UP or the occasional KCS motor on the I131/132 pair can be hard to come by. B223 splits the QI 198 trilights. |
