We took a break from the action for about 2 hours before heading back out to the tracks. Next we went over to the Railroaders Memorial Museum to see the various equipment there. Before heading into the museum though I took some time to try to catch a couple trains on the pedestrian bridges. Sadly, both trains I saw downtown I was unable to get up on the bridge in time because I couldnt find the entry ways but I still got them. First was a helper set heading back west. |

A trio of SD40s lead a local north and east into the yard. Out of all of the SD40Es we saw at Altoona, this one has escaped the helper pool for now! This would be the very final train we would catch on our big trip out east. After visiting 6 states, 3 museums, a stop at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos, The Nordic Lodge in Rhode Island, Cooperstown, and many more places this has been one heck of a trip with plenty of great trains and memories! Very happy I got to spend these past 11 days with my aunt, grandma, and brother, and I am looking forward to the next big trip soon! |

There are a pair of CPL masts standing along the Corman south of the diamond with the Pennsy at CP MACE that I had intended on getting the train coming by. After waiting there for around an hour while they worked the RSL, I heard C67 coming into town on the Pennsy. NS crosses both OH 21 and the Tuscarawas River on a large bridge, and knowing C67 would have power on both ends, I decided to quick ditch the Corman for a shot of NS coming over the bridge. Of course, right when NS came, so did the Corman. Oh well. Ill take the bridge shot. |
