And just like that the chase southbound portion of the chase was over, and we prepped to shoot the northbound. The same power from yesterdays LSL (minus the OHCR 4023 of course) is the power for the northbound. Not sure why they would drop the OHCR 4023 considering it was the last unit in the consist facing north yesterday. Our interest in the train had dropped significantly, but we still planned to shoot it some. The LSL flops trains with the WCH-B crew at Tremont. |

The LSL received a warrant south toward Tremont City a little earlier today than they usually would due to a NS grain train loading at Uniopolis, and I knew that I didnt have anymore CSX traffic nearby. I wasnt sure if the IORY signals were going to come down in the replacement process, but I figured I might as well not take my chances. Just after noon, the LSL came rolling south across the Big 4, sporting an orange unit, 2 leased SD60Ms, and a leased SD50. Believe it or not but the orange power leading these trains have become sort of a rarity since the SD60Ms came this far north on the system. It was almost welcoming. |
