While eating at Captain Ds we could hear a southbound going through as we were finishing. We got right back onto the road and saw the tail end of the very short train, which we conferred was the Y204 yard job from Lima coming down to work Pratt Paper south of town. Sure enough we were right, and we were able to pick up some shots of the train working the industry under some great evening light with giant thunderstorm clouds looming in the background (some of those storms were tornado warned). This was the first time I was able to pick up shots of this train working Pratt Paper, as it is usually done at night. Couldnt have asked for a better way to close the day. Another well spent day trackside in Ohio! |

CSX L428 marked up with IC over in Ansonia to head east to Sidney to do work at Cargill, so I raced over to that end to get them splitting the pair at CP 189. No cars on this train today unfortunately, but anything splitting this pair is pretty cool. As far as I know this is the only signal pair that has a doll arm left on the Indy Line. |

Usually after I finish up with the WWVR I move onto CSX and CNUR (now BFT) to get some exposures of the power lying around their yards. A brand spanking new GP40-3 was sitting in the CSX yard tonight. So shiny you could still smell the paint off of it. |

Another set of CSX power was also in the yard. A SD40 variant was behind the GEVO but I wasnt going to walk between cars to get its photo. After this I moved onto the Big Four Terminal Yard. |
