This was basically our real reason of coming up here. NS 8099 switches East Wayne ard in New Haven and should be on a future NS 197. The unit was stationed back behind the fuel racks where no one could get photos but then exactly what we wished for happened and the engine was assigned to NS 197 with 2 other NS units! This is my second time seeing this unit up at East Wayne but I am glad I got better photos this time!!! |

Then finally, NS 22X showed with NS 8100 on the front. The horn has been replaced with a P5 since the last time I saw it. I suppose these units are over 10 years old now. Things are going to begin wearing out on them. After this, Trent and I went back to the lodge to spend the rest of our final day in Sandusky. We splurged at the mall in the evening. and had a great supper at the Gitchigoomie Grill at GWL, and spent the remainder of the night reading. What a heck of a trip this was. Could not have asked for one much better! |

It only made sense that NS 64D would wait to come north until after the rain had started, but a little rain doesnt stop us! We went up to CR 1200N at the county line south of Yoder to get it out in the open. Ive actually shot this heritage unit at this crossing on multiple occasions since it was stuck in our local pool for quite some time last year. Rain or shine, that maroon paint continues to look good. This was our first heritage unit we had caught together on the front, so that was pretty cool! |

When we were taking photos of the Geeps we heard NS 117 give the roll by to NS 218 coming east so we waited on it. NS 8105 was trailing 2nd! Second ceritage unit of the trip! Sadly we missed a train on CSX waiting for this. |
