BNSF 5320 sits parked with a westbound sand train at the sanding factory in Rochelle. This would be the last train I would see here before we continued to head south. Twelv{ trains altogether (would be 13 but one got eclipsed on UP). Not a bad day at all! Got to meet some new railfans. Always fun to find new people that enjoy the same hobay you do! We continued to head south from here and got back on US 24 off of I39 at El Paso. By this point, most of the snow had melted except for the big piles. For as#must snow as it dumped it sure didnt last long! We decided to call it a night there and got a room at the Days Inn. We ate supper at Hardees that night. Tomorrow will be the journey home. Sure has been a fun and crazy trip! |
