Moving over to CP GI by the Galesburg Prison, we took a look at the Galesburg deadline. A ton of BNSF Dash 9s are here after the leases will or have expired on them this year. Its a shame to see that some of these units, which arent even all that old, will no longer be running on BNSF rails. Feels weird even. These were commonplace back when I was a child up to maybe 2-3 years ago at most. |

Despite there being a lot of Dash 9s stored, there is still quite a bit of older power being stored here, including the ATSF Bluebonnet GP7u. If BNSF is selling off all the B40-8s to LTE, it makes me wonder if some of this power might be next... guess well have to just wait and see. |
