NS 1073 (Penn Central heritage unit!!!) |
Description: |
It is barely recognizable but if you look at the nose to the unit you can see the Penn Central logo! NS 1073 leads NS 289 southbound through Ossian! I have been waiting all day for this unit to come. I wish it would have come in daylight though |

NS 1073 (Penn Central heritage unit!) |
Description: |
After NS 809 got in the hole at Noel, NS I88, extra NS 288, came north with the Penn Central heritage unit leading! We didnt even know this was coming until I got a heads up from Facebook that it was in Richmond! First time we have seen this one this year! Nice addition to the already pretty great catches we have gotten today! |

NS 1073 |
Description: |
The old wooden grain elevator at Roanoke was torn down (unknown to me at the time) and with the snow off the trees for the most part I decided that I would probably get the best shot at CP Mardenis east of Huntington where trains come around a big curve and head straight east into town. After about 40 minutes of waiting on them to finish up at Roanoke, NS 199 proceeded west. The Penn Central is one of my favorite heritage units to shoot. Ive always liked the simple paint scheme. It sure does need some help though. |
